Town of
Easton
www.eastonct.org
The town remains unspoiled yet all the necessary
amenities are found nearby. Easton has been able to keep
its rural character for several reasons, among them
zoning, most of the town is restricted to 3 acres per
home, and a large percentage of the town (over 40%) is
public watershed or open space. Several working farms
are still located within the town, including tree farms,
orchards, beekeepers and specialty plants.
Easton provides a solid academic program, ranking near
or at the top of schools in Connecticut. The elementary
school and middle school are located within the town;
the high school is combined with the adjacent town of
Redding.
Although land locked, residents have access to the
beaches located to the south in the town of Fairfield.
The town possesses two excellent private golf courses
and public tennis courts, baseball diamonds and parks
for hiking, horseback riding and cross-country skiing.
